Yayyy!
Supernatural Noir has been given a shout out by Jeff and Ann VanderMeer on their brand new website Weird Fiction Review along with many other "weird" book--any of them perfect for Christmas and Chanukah. (but buy mine first)
There's a new interview with me at Rambling On and a chance to win a copy of Supernatural Noir.
I hope if anyone's in the area (NJ) you'll drop by. They'll be selling and we'll be signing copies of the book.

Elizabeth Bear
Elizabeth Bear was born on the same day as Frodo and Bilbo Baggins, but in a different year. She is the Hugo and Sturgeon Award winning author of--most recently—The Tempering of Men (with Sarah Monette), Grail, and The Sea Thy Mistress.
I'm afraid that Bear has had to cancel.

However, we have a surprise mystery guest instead (who may or may not read).
Blogger Erin Underwood is helping me out by running the second Supernatural Noir book giveaway here.

I'm delighted to post this rave for Supernatural Noir from The Green Man Review
Here's a wee bit about Supernatural Noir from a blog post I was asked to write for the Dark Horse website. The Darker the Better
I missed this piece on IO9 about How to Save Noir Fiction from Irrelevance. I truly hope that readers feel that Supernatural Noir does the sub-genre justice, as I am a lover of noir movies and fiction.
I've just finished editing the last story of Supernatural Noir and finalized the order of the table of contents (there could be some order changes but I'm currently happy with the way I have it). I just have to brush up (ie agonize over my intro--it'll be a short one) and then will email it off to Rachel, my editor at Dark Horse.
Thank you to all my wonderful contributors, all of whom have written odd, ugly, beautiful, strange, hard-boiled, cynical, and even occasionally moving stories. I'm especially pleased to be publishing stories by writers I've never published before.
The book will be published in 2011--I'll alert everyone to the date when I know it.
