Neile Graham took me shopping in the Ballard area, where Eileen G (who was waiting for the plumber to be done at her house) and Vonda McIntyre were meeting at Ray's for lunch. Before we got to Value Village--a huge thrift shop that was our first destination, we passed a corner fleamarket and stopped. Where I picked up one large jawbone with three teeth of...something--too large for a horse. Also a pelvis of....something. Plus a long wooden thingie, a small very heavy antique iron used for lace and a very small bottle. I was ecstatic.
Nothing much at Value Village but lunch at Ray's was delicious. We were going to sit outside but it was a little too sunny and warm.
On the way home, we stopped at the auction house so Eileen could pick up the items she won at auction Sunday. We realized that she couldn't fit the Japanese tansu she won so that had to wait. But she won one set of the teddy bears she bid on. And lo and behold, she presented me with a much larger, well-loved bear that she bid on and won for me in the silent auction. He's a handsome devil with a sweet smile and looks like a Dutch poltroon with his legs the shape of pantaloons.
Leftovers from the dinner party last night. Yum. I'm probably going to take a bath in Eileen and John's tub. The first for a couple of years, since I stayed at the Clutes.
