Capclave October 12-14

Jeff Ford is GOH and I'm Editor GOH at Capclave this October. The convention takes place at the Hilton Washington DC/Rockville in Rockville, MD. The only other time I've attended was when Howard Waldrop was GOH and although the convention was smallish, I had a wonderful time. I'm very much looking forward to sharing the spotlight with Jeff. Maybe we'll have some kind of discussion about working together--hmmm. I need to suggest that to the program committee.

According to the website, some of the attendees will be Scott Edelman, David Hartwell, Jim Freund, Michael Capobianco, Brenda Clough,Michael Swanwick, Michael Dirda, Andy Duncan, and Dennis Danvers.

If anyone's in the neighborhood, come on by.

I wish I could get to CapClave some year. It always sounds like a great convention, with heavy emphasis on good writing and interesting politics.

Thanks. I remember something about single malts the last time I was there--don't remember if the hotel bar had them or something brought them along...different hotel though this time.
