We finally got two days of winter, when the temperature dropped to the teens Wednesday and Thursday. Of course, it was even colder at night. Last night I had trouble sleeping. Why? Because I was cold. Why? Because I was too cold to get out of bed and turn on the radiator in my bedroom, which I generally keep off because it's always too warm in my apartment with that radiator on. (there's always heat coming through the pipes in the bedroom, kitchen, and bathroom. Instead, I got up and grabbed a wool blanket off my rocking chair. This is so illogical and I cannot explain it. Does this happen to you?

Now it's warmer but I swear that if it gets cold again I WILL get out of bed and turn on the damned radiator.

When it comes to sleeping I'd rather have it cold with the right blankets, than anything else. I can't sleep with radiators on.

However, during my waking hours, that's another thing. And with that wind on Wednesday, it was really cold in here. My wool shawl and wool leg warmers and wool sox and wool sweaters were just the thing.

This evening it was lovely, damp and soft. It's already much warmer. I'm shedding layers like crazy. Of course the oven's on, with chicken and vegetables roasting and potatoes roasting ....

Love, C.

It's a little chilly here and I've turned on the bedroom radiator (not that the heat's come on yet)...I can always turn it off :-)I've been giving my sweaters a lot of use over the past few days.
