As some of you might know, I'm working on a reprint anthology for Tachyon with the subtitle: Two Decades of Modern Horror. I am NOT looking for stories--I've chosen most of them already and know what other authors are going to be in the book (it's unfortunately, not as LARGE a book as I'd need, to actually do justice to the subject)... and it covers 1984-2005.

The problem is, we need a strong, catchy, evocative, serious title. The one suggested by my publisher as a possibility I like but don't love --as it doesn't quite feel catchy enough:

Harbingers: Two Decades of Modern Horror.

So we're open to suggestions.

But the ghost definition is the one most people looking at the cover would think of.

Oh good! Enjoy.

no but the first time I encountered the term was in a novel that used revenants as a term for vampires. and the second, actually. I didn't learn it meant ghosts until much later.
