Oh, Yes, Tangerine Dream. I like them. Appropriate music for a drive through Death Valley. What time of the year did you visit? We had our 100 year flood about five years ago, and Death Valley filled up with water, had a lake there for approx. one month. Then the flowers arrived! Lovely!

That's funny about bringing only one tape to listen to. Done that before!

Well, it was before DVDs. And it wasn't summer because that would have been way too hot. But the temperature did get up several degrees higher than 100F--I remember that. We saw an eagle fly off with a snake in its mouth--that was one of the highlights.

An eagle with a snake in its beak, that's exciting! Seeing this would have been a high point for me too.

Before DVDs. That was a while ago.

Palm Springs gets as hot as Death Valley during summertime. The heat softens asphalt, and makes high heels sink in by half an inch.
