I just posted my Maine photos, mostly of interest to me.
Maine December 2-6

I watched three movies last night: 2046, a kind of follow up to In the Mood For Love which is a Hong Kong film made in Shanghai by Wong Kar-wai. Guy who lost his true love is a womanizer who incorporates the many women he sees into his soft porn novels. Gong Li and Ziyi Zhang are two of the women. Futuristic and mysterious, 2046 is a hotel room where all you want resides. (perhaps).
Music and Lyrics a charmingly silly movie with Hugh Grant and Drew Barrymore as the respectively a member of a defunct rock band from 20 years earlier and a woman who works for her sister at a weight loss center and does a temp gig as a plant waterer (for the Grant character). He can't write song lyrics to save his life. She's a natural. They get together, break apart and get together again.

Police Story directed by and starring Jackie Chan. Idiot behavior on the part of the cops made me almost strike the second Police Story from my queue, but by the end I enjoyed Chan's fighting prowess (always a joy), which was really fine 27 years ago. So I'll take a chance on Police Story 2. I'll have to wait for the BBC Sherlock Holmes. The first disc has "a very long wait."

And I partied this evening. First holiday party of the season. Good food, drink, and company. Thanks Paul, Cynthia, and Grace.

Off to Connecticut tomorrow to see my sister for a couple of days and hopefully get more xmas shopping done at the Putnam Antique malls.

I KNEW I forgot something. Driving through the west village we came across tons 'o Santas. Apparently it's the 2nd or 3rd annual Santacon which takes place all over the country. There were not only many many Santas but gift boxes, a pink rabbit, and other Christmassy costumes rambling about.
