Ruby Slippers, Golden Tears giveaway for blogging

Some time over the next two days I'm going to give away six copies of the newly reissued third volume of the adult fairy tale anthologies Terri Windling and I co-edited.



I'll be giving away three later today and three tomorrow. I'm not doing it right now but instead giving fair warning so everyone has a chance this time. Piping up before the announcements will not work ;-)

I like the original paperback cover better. Terri and I loathed the original hc art.
This is in line with Prime's choice to go with a completely different design, more like the Gregory Maguire fairy tale books... not my choice but I think it's fine. Just not sexy, which is what the books are to some extent.

Uhhh... this doesn't remind me one bit of Gregory Maguire's covers, and I have all of them thus far. It's more modern than his covers.

I understand why they did it, but I still prefer the originals.}:P

Right there with you on the cover. I have the PB of this and adore the style of art that runs through all the collections. Sorry to see it gone, but glad these books are still out there.
