ClockworkZero-- whose work I originally saw on someone else's blog (I'm blanking whose)--and I have been corresponding, and I commissioned her to create a few single earrings for me. They're reasonably priced and each is different, made from watch parts, charms, gears, screws, semi precious stones, and other random bits and pieces and parts. I love the bugs and airplanes.

There is now a store from which you can purchase many terrific earrings, brooches, pendants, and necklaces.
Check out her work here:

And men--consider purchasing something as a gift for your girlfriend/spouse.

Steampunk Coolness!

Do we get to see you wearing the commissioned pieces? =P

I don't think I can photograph them myself but perhaps tomorrow evening I can persuade a friend with whom I'm having dinner to come up before or after to do so :-)

OMG! Ellen, thanks so much! I checked it out, and there was one necklace called Key to My Heart, and it's perfect -- my next book features exactly such key, so I quickly snagged it. Yay, I have an appropriate book piece!

Always happy to help friends shop--not to mention, help the economy :-)

That was my blog - and I'm glad you love her work as much as I do!

Hi Livia,
Sorry for forgetting. Yes, you get full credit --thank you for blogging about her.

Hi Ellen,
I'm really pleased you like the earrings. Doing the commission was a lot of fun!

Mary's going to photograph them on me tomorrow! However, I'll have to post them on my flickr account and link, since I don't recall how to embed photos here.

O. M. G.

I am in love. Gears. GEARS!

My wallet hates you so much right now, but the rest of me loves you, so it's ok.

(P.S. One of the most bizarre necklaces I made during my prolific jewelry-making days used, as the center pendant, parts of a disposable camera flash. It was awesome.)

So sorry (heh, not really)...

That does sound wonderful. I don't suppose you've got a photo of it?

From: [identity profile] foresthouse.livejournal.com

I don't, but I still have it somewhere. I could probably locate and photograph it. :)

I like doing jewelry, but I haven't had the TIME in ages. :) My current necklace project will be gorgeous when I finally sit down and order the remaining parts so I can finish it. I actually posted a picture of the unfinished project a while ago - you can see it as the last couple of pictures here: http://foresthouse.livejournal.com/396717.html .
