I hadn't known she was lost. Somehow I missed this whole story--however, I'm glad to have caught up with the happy ending:

Also, I have had a cat carrier that doesn't close properly (I have to bang it with a hammer to make sure it's locked. The first time I took my cat to the vet in it, it opened --luckily, in the cab)...so I don't blame the kitten owner.
