Today was even better because I got enough sleep the night before that I wasn't already tired when I arrived. Also, I didn't have to be there until noon. My Haunted Legends galley signing went wonderfully and the two cartons of galleys were gone in 35 minutes (I had an hour to sign). I met a LOT of librarians, something I've been trying to do for several years. I always thought I had to attend the ALA or some other professional Library convention that I couldn't afford and had not entry into but no, turns out many attend BEA and are eager to chat. I also asked if I could visit their libraries (the relatively local ones) to talk about my books --possibly with a contributor in tow) and they expressed interest. If even a quarter of the contacts pan out, I'm ahead.

Ran into a few more people today like Gavin Grant (missed Delia Sherman's signing at his booth), Forest House again (waving), Laura Anne Gilman, and Stephen Segal came by the booth. I missed Jack Womack-I forgot to go by the Orbit booth today.

I zipped through all the catalogs before I left at 5pm but alas, lugged up a bunch of books/galleys that looked interesting. Ah me.
