I don't usually add a "mood" to these posts but I have this time because for the past two evenings I watched three dvds from The Sopranos last season. Silly me. I don't know why I forgot (or more, didn't notice) that the fourth/last is still in my netflix queue!!! arghhh. This means I have to wait a couple of weeks to finish up the series as I won't be around next weekend.

I did the same thing with a TV show I was watching via Netflix last year.
I went on a three-week vacation while the last disc sat in my PO Box!

Yeah, that sucks. I've been waiting for months for the damned thing to be on DVD. Oh well, I can wait a little longer :-)

This is the point when I usually cave and make a midnight run to Blockbuster.

I'm not a member and I don't even know where the nearest one is--but I watched three hours of the show...not sure I would have finished it even if I'd had it here. It's wonderfully depressing!

Oh, gah. This happened to me with Prison Break - my bf gave me the first season to watch, and then Season 2 wasn't even OUT on DVD until 3 weeks after I finished (and I was watching a ton of eps in a row, because that show is ADDICTIVE). So for 3 weeks I'm sitting there like, "Must. Have. Prison Break!!!" It was so annoying.

Have you watched The Sopranos previously, or is this the first time?

I'm not so big on gangsters.

I tried to watch the first disc of the first Sopranos season and couldn't get through the first ep.

The Wire is what works for me. And season 4 is on dvd at the start of next month!

Love, C.

I have been watching it DVD, season by season --I'd seen one episode (in the middle) on tv (a couple of season's in) and it didn't work for me but was intrigued so began to rent it. I've found it a fascinating and increasingly depressing show. James Gandolfini is terrific, playing Tony as a charming deadly sociopath. Every time you start to empathize with him again, he does something really ugly.
