Thanks. I missed getting photos of soooo many people there, though. I'm kind of annoyed that I didn't try harder. But it is was almost too crowded to get good photos.
Aww, do come! I'll show you all around the city and you'll have a blast! Everyone should see the Mormon Temple, the Beehive House and the statue of the sphinx with Joseph Smith's head at least once.
The plan was to head for Boston on Nov. 30 or so, and then for NYC on Dec. 2 or 3... but let me know what your schedule is and I'll plan accordingly. Haven't bought the tickets yet, so plans are very changeable at this stage.
However,if you're in town Sunday December 2nd that could work (I'll probably be packing the 3rd.) Maybe brunch or lunch or something? Do you have my email address?
:D You do know that I'm going to send you a picture of the Joseph Smith Sphinx now, don't you?
I think Dec. 2 may work... I'll have to talk to my boss to be sure, but I think that's after we put out our first Dec. issue of the paper. Can you email me your email address? I am at upstart.crow [at] gmail [dot] com.
Yay! Thanks, I've been waiting for these. :) Lots of great pics, and thanks for labeling them. Otherwise I'd never know who some of them were even with knowing their names.
Aw, Charles Vess! I loved his work on Stardust.
...From far away, that lobby sculpture looks kind of like the top half of a bikini. I kind of doubt that was what the artist was going for.

It was nice saying hi! Wish we could've had drinks together or some such, though :(

You're very welcome.
Me too. Where do you live?

I actually live in Utah, alas! And I all too rarely get out to the East Coast these days... just for cons, really.
But I should be in NYC for Catherynne's art show on Dec. 4 (still trying to figure out some logistics, but things are looking good).

I leave for Maine on the 4th so I'm going to miss it. How long will you be in town beforehand?
