Saw it last night and loved it. Loved the teenage angst and loved the look of the movie. Dark with lots of blues. As I can rarely remember plot points in books, most movie adaptations are "new" to me. It's a bit too long--could have been some faster editing in several spots--but over all I think it marvelous. The best depiction of a magical world that seems "normal" that I've ever seen. Lovely touches. The kids are growing up and becoming more interesting as they grow up. Fine special effects. See it on the big screen for the cinematography.
