Saw my surgeon/doc this evening and it's healing. Looked too icky to me for me to want to have it photographed. It's going slowwwwly. He said I could opt out of the unaboot at any time but he also said that a skin graft would be painful so...nah. I think I'll keep going for now. I'm probably going to have to find a surgeon who can change my dressing while down in Florida visiting my parents (or as soon as I get to Orlando). We'll see how it's doing in three weeks. Boooring. Sorry. (next visit Monday evening)

Sincere sympathy from Down Under... my mother recently suffered a bout of cellulitis but nowhere near as bad as you copped it by the sound of things. Take care.

It's good news that it's healing. For what it's worth, I think you're making the right choice of treatment.

Thanks. Let's see: minimal pain vs major pain--uh huh!!! :-) It just may get awfully inconvenient. So far, I've been lucky as it's been relatively warm out so I can still wear skirts (I can't fit leggings over the bandages). I HATE wearing trousers--and even if I did--I only have linen ones, which are not especially warm.

Also, I've been able to wear my clogs all along... If it snows...we'll see if the shoes I bought for that eventually--actually work.

I'm assuming you will not be out tomorrow so I send well-wishes via binary :)

Ah that's wonderful! Mobile doesn't necessarily mean "willing to deal with crowds." I shall see you there and send your leg good vibes in person!

Wellll. I do worry that I'll be kicked by accident, which is why I've been taking buses not subways.

*Nods* definitely the call I also would have made, if I lived closer to Manhattan.

The unaboot is the best route to go. Skin grafts can be difficult.

I so wish I could attend the KGB reading, wah.
