42 Up

I've kept up with Michael Apted's remarkable series of documentaries about a group of 7 year old English children whose lives he's been following since 1964. But I hadn't seen the most recent two. Last night I watched 42 Up and it continues to be fascinating. Two of the subjects dropped out of the documentary at the 35 benchmark (I think)but the rest are pretty open about their lives. In a few weeks I'll be catching up with them at 49. (2005)

Oh Bev, you should check out the earlier ones. You get an idea of each person from 42 (the interspersing of earlier interviews is great) but it's better to see everything.

I think my daughter picked up the earlier ones as a boxed set, so I'll have to get her to bring them home at Christmas.
