Tomorrow evening I'll be flying to Seattle and will most likely be delayed because of the bad weather expected--rain rain rain and maybe thunderstorms. I'm supposed to arrive in Seattle 9:30 pm but I'm sure I won't. Leslie Howle will be picking me up and I'll be staying with her for two nights.

Monday morning I catch a bus to Vancouver, BC, get picked up by Barbara and Christopher Roden--then drive four hours north with them to Ashcroft, where Barbara's wonderful parents are preparing a barbecue for us. Next day we'll all trek to Calgary, stopping at Golden Tuesday night and possibly in Banff enroute to Calgary Wednesday.

I don't return to NY until November 5th (very late)so I've already sent it my absentee ballot. I urge you all to vote as well--in fact, that's what my next post is about.

Hello to you! And say hello to Leslie for me!

Sometimes I miss Seattle...but mostly I'm ready to move back to the East Coast.

Portland, Oregon at the moment. I'm getting my MA in Liberal Studies at Reed and I'll be graduating in the Spring. Paul, the girls, all the cats and I will be headed back to Massachusetts in June.

I've been to that one (a long long time ago). That would be a lot of fun. Maybe I could even drag my Dad out to go with me :)

Ah. Another sf person!

I live in the Reed area, if you're going to Orycon and want to meet up...

Checked out your bio...sounds like you have about half of what I want out of life...your farm sounds wonderful!

We/I will not be going to Orycon. We go camping out at the coast that weekend to celebrate my husband's birthday. But, we have been wanting to get some snow visits (not so much skiing as angel making and snow and maple syrup eating) this year. We miss living in Vermont. Maybe you would know a good place to go play in the snow soon!

Keep an eye on my journal. I don't have a farm, but my horse lives at a nice one...

But believe me, you'll know when the snow hits on hood if you read my journal regularly. Between my own snow fix and all the kids with snow fever, I'll know when it gets good (I get daily reports from my Govvy kids!)
