Off to Denvention

...first thing in the morning so trying to clean up a few things before leaving (like my so-called desk and the couch) so that my house/catsitter has room to move.

Have fun! My friends Lee and Anna will be there (also part of the Discworld Con committee) and I told them about the walk things, but who knows if they'll be able to get up that early. *g* I don't know if I would be. Heh.

I'm a little worried about the heat and the altitude but presumably at 9-10 am it won't be tooooo hot.

Yeah, I think Denver can be quite nice around then, if I recall correctly. Anyway, bring sunscreen and stuff just in case!!

Yes! This is what my dad always tells me: "Don't forget your hat! You don't want a sunburned scalp!" Heh.

You know, back in the day when things were simple, I had ONE journal. But now I also have one where I post the official NADWCon updates, and one where I'm sort-of-role-playing a comic book character (people write in with questions and I answer in character; yes, it's probably as weird as it sounds), and...dear me. I really should stop, or I'm not going to be able to keep track anymore!

Heh, it is for me and the, like, 27 people who read it. :) Not that many people know the character (Deadpool) who is one of the less well known guys in the Marvel universe. He's known for his off-the-wall craziness and black humor, so it's fun writing some of that.

Although after the Wolverine: Origins movie comes out, more people will know who he is, I bet, since he's one of the "team" from Weapon X. I just keep hoping they'll do him justice.

It hasn't been too bad--but I've been up in the mountains.

Tonight in Aspen it's in the 50s-60s and raining, pretty steadily. Enough to make me think I'm back in Portland.

However, local forecast is that it's supposed to be a more seasonal 80s instead of the 90s/100s it's been since I got here on Friday.
