From Pam:
"Hello to All -
Paul was sprung from the Open Heart Recovery Room this afternoon and was moved to what they call the Cardiac Step-down Unit. His x-ray this morning was better although that does not let him off from the coughing, deep breathing, walking and the hourly exercises that he must do. He has his own private room and with out all of the tubes now has only two machines that beep, gurgle and make noise. He actually got a whole movie watched today on his nifty little DVD player - I have instructions to bring in more movies tomorrow. :)
The new unit is quiet and he has an absolutely lovely view of crushed cars and other things, the railroad tracks and Highway 80 - giggle snort! to borrow friend Kathryn's phrase.
I need to eat some dinner an put my feet up for a bit. Again thanks to all who wrote emails and have sent cards."
