Some of you might know that Paul Barnett had open heart surgery yesterday--done by 2pm we got a report from his wife Pam Scoville.
Here's Pam's update today, posted with her permission:
"It was an up and down day all around but this is to be expected. Paul walked the ICU three time, the last time right before I came home. The down part of the day involves deep breathing and coughing which was not going to well today thus his oxygen saturation levels were not where the doctor wants them. Thus his nurse and I kinda bullied him between his rest periods and his night nurse will, on doctors orders, wake him up tonight and make him do his breathing exercises. He has been told this but he will not be a happy boy when it happens. Other than the deep breathing and coughing problem he looks good and moves faster during his walk abouts than I would have expected.
I have been told to thank every one for their notes and the help with the cricket scores that I received.
Once again I am tired tonight. So, I am going to call it a day.
