Today I received by box of The Del Rey Book of Science Fiction and Fantasy--hallelujah! means that there will be books to sell at next Wednesday's reading/signing/launch party at the South Street Seaport.

Plus, I got my authors copies of the fourth of the adult fairy tale anthology reissues from Prime: Black Swan, White Raven.I don't know the actual pub date (it doesn't say on amazon) but I'll find out from Sean Wallace.

Need reviewers or are you set? (yeah I'm angling for another reviewer copy)

Definitely need reviewers--which do you need? I can put you in touch with Del Rey and Prime...

Since you'll be at Wiscon this month, check the following message from Elizabeth at Dreamhaven Books:

http://community.livejournal.com/wiscon/121758.html

In a nutshell, she needs folks to tell her what books she needs to order because she doesn't know who will be there and the order needs to be placed asap.

How great, I know it's going to be fun.

With all your projects, trips, and I don't know whatall, how do you keep everything organized? I mean, how do you know what things go to which and keep it all straight?

Well, I keep folders on my different books--folders for the contracts and folders for the stories I'm taking. I also try (very hard) to keep track of my deadlines. (that's the important part). It's easier than running a weekly magazine/website, partly because I don't have to hire the copy editor and proofreader and make sure they're on time. Publishers do that.

Whew, well, you do great! I've recently become very busy going in about ten different directions, and it's tough, keeping it all straight, everything handy for when people ask, and knowing what's going on.

I'll be glad when it all settles down again, but I must say, I like the folder idea. I could maybe use that. I've been dividing things up in piles, but that's becoming a mess, as you might imagine.

Welll. I also have piles--next to me on the sofa. Piles of books and mss to read (right now, not too many mss to read)...and although I have many piles of books around the apt, most are organized. Some are books I've already read or covered for YBFH and those I keep in my bedroom are those books and mags I still have to read.

There are times that things get a bit confused. I just have to stay focused !
