What's up?

You can glean hints of my life since I returned from London last Saturday night. I've finished choosing stories for YBFH #21, which doesn't mean I'm done with it...

Hosted the Inferno KGB reading last night. Photos tk. It was crowded. It was fun. It was very cold out. Nathan Ballingrud and M.K.Hobson, both in town (Nathan for the reading, Mary on biz) are hopefully coming over this afternoon while I await a UPS pick up to share a variety of single malts.

I'd like to see There Will be Blood Saturday, before the Academy awards, which I'll be watching Sunday with friends.

My cd player crapped out--I'd hoped a good cleaning disk would help but nope. So I'm using my computer (with eh speakers) for cds and also for the radio --BGO's reception has gotten really bad this past week on my radio...Jim Freund and I were mulling over options last night...I may just wire everything to my computer (my regular music speakers hanging on the walls are good) and/or buy a new cd player (he says they're cheap).

Oh darn. Sorry I missed it. I liked that book immensely. However, I did already have plans to see The Magic Flute so I had a decent evening regardless.

If you're at the hostel, you can take the crosstown bus (running along 14th street) to 9th avenue and walk from there--two blocks downtown to Horatio Street (along Hudson)...is that where you're coming from?

If you take the bus, make sure you going west NOT east.

If you get the 14A to Abingdon square it'll take you down Hudson street to just across the street from my building...but most of the #14 buses go to 11th avenue or Chelsea Piers--those you have to get off at 9th avenue...(ask the driver if you're confused--You want Horatio street & Hudson. but you've got your phone, right? (and my #?)

Yup, CD players should be cheap nowadays ever since mp3 players became popular. You can probably get the small, portable ones that also play VCDs and MP3s.
