Yay! Does that mean the reading pile for #21 is done?

Nah. Not really. But I'm satisfied that at least the story choices are made.

I'm still slogging through various novellas and other items for the HM list and will soon be going through the nonfiction magazines and books for the summary.

Looks good. Thanks for another fun time at the KGB Bar!

Great to see you there! (even if we didn't sit at the same table--so THAT's what you were doing? Creating a Gavin Grant award--tsk tsk --I read your blog ;-))

I'm sure in your expansive reading for Year's Best you've come across a writer or two you'd pay good money to never have to read again!

I'd forgotten A Thing Forbidden (had to go look at it quickly), but skimming a few pages in brought it back to mind--I remember it standing out fairly well and wanting to share it with someone who would be interested. Sounds like that's going to happen on a large scale, so cool. :)

Hadn't read that Lone Star piece but ran back to it quickly. Looks like the year's shaping up to have been pretty good. ;)

And I'll keep my fingers crossed something jumps out at your more from GUD's 2008 offerings, of course. ;)

It was a very strong year-- I could have filled the book up with at least another 60,000 words easily.

Excellent! (You made me a very happy editor when you chose Sonya's poem.)
