I'm especially pleased because it's one of only seven picks in science fiction and fantasy:

Congratulations!

And while I'm at it, congratulations Ms World Fantasy Award winner for best anthology!

You rule.

Thank you!!! I try to rule gently but with a firm hand :-)

I'm just going to be congratulating you all day, aren't I? That's really neat!

It IS a couple of good days --I'll try not to have any more good news for the next few days!

Thank you. Is that Giles from BUFFY in your photo? (boy do I adore him)

From: [identity profile] foresthouse.livejournal.com

No no, I don't begrudge anyone the good news! Especially if it's well-deserved good news. Bring it on! :)

It is! I love it when those stiff-upper-lip Brits cut loose. *g*

Oh I know. When I have some time, I'll see if I can blog a bit more about the weekend. I'll probably put up photos over the next few days.

Well, some of them :-) Ahem, I've had experiences with some you wouldn't want to cut loose!

And in retrospect, your cat icon looks like it's eyeing my chinchilla icon. Oh no!

From: [identity profile] ellen-datlow.livejournal.com

That's true-- Your chinchilla better watch out (although yours looks as large as Bella) .

She's fairly small IRL (as seen here) but she's a VERY fast runner. Heh. Picture one of those cartoons where the character runs so fast she leaves her little tail behind, and that's my Rogue.

Your cat looks a lot like my sister's cat, who is adorable.

Congratulations! Two in a day, that's wonderful. :-)

From: [identity profile] ellen-datlow.livejournal.com

I suspect Bella would have no idea what to do with such a creature but she's have fun figuring it out ;-)

From: [identity profile] ellen-datlow.livejournal.com

LOL--actually it was not he to whom I was referring...but now that you mention it...

From: [identity profile] foresthouse.livejournal.com

We didn't let my sister's cat (Snickers) and Rogue meet when they were in the same house, because Rogue probably would have been scared to death, but whenever I'd play with Rogue in a room with the door shut, I'd come out after and Snickers would be hunkered down in front of the door in pre-pounce mode. Hee!

Ain't you having a good time just now? Yay!

Did you know Giles-from-Buffy has shopped in Liz Williams' shop? Squee!

From: [identity profile] livia-llewellyn.livejournal.com

I saw that early this morning in my boss's issue of PW, and I had to practically break my fingers to keep from blogging about it first. Congrats!

Hi Livia,
My agent emailed me over the weekend but I didn't know details till I saw PW today.

That's fantastic Ellen! You're really on a roll!
