movie watching

Rough Magic a totally charming 1995 movie set in the 50s, about magic, money, mystery, mysticism, and love. With Russell Crowe as a guy down in Mexico hired by a rich jerk to track down his fiance, who witnessed a murder. Bridget Fonda as a magician's assistant with more power than meets the eye. Jim Broadbent as a conman/searcher for an elixir of power and money. The rich asshole is not as actor I've ever seen before, D.W. Moffett. I really liked Bridget Fonda in this and am disappointed to see she disappeared from acting after 2002.

Also saw Let Me In, the American version of Let the Right One In and it was fine but there was absolutely no reason to remake an already fine film. (I know I know-most Americans won't go see a subtitled movie)...
