Help Leslie Howle get a new puppy

You may have heard that my friend Leslie Howle’s little dog Luke recently passed away. Leslie’s friends know of the deep bond that existed between her and Lukey. Les has been bereft without him. With encouragement from several friends, Les has started to think about adopting another pup, but she’s in no position to do so as she’s still paying off the vet bill for Luke’s final visit to the Emergency vet.

No pressure whatsoever, but, if you’d like to help out, we’ve arranged for a Paypal account that goes directly to Leslie for her puppy fund.

We had to do some serious pleading and arm-twisting to get Leslie to set up this account. Anyone who knows Les, knows that she’s always a giver and never a taker. She’s housed, fed and chauffeured so many people in our writing community, and she’s one of the key organizers behind Clarion West Writers Workshop, just to name a couple of her ongoing contributions.

We feel good about giving her a bit of help at a rather dark time. Leslie would not want anyone to contribute who felt the slightest reluctance, so please do as you wish. I just wanted to let you know that this exists.
