Here and settled in at the Clutes' in Camden Town and awaiting Pat C to hit Covent Garden antique stalls today and then we're going to have lunch with her son Rob. Rainy and miserable out yesterday but it's cleared up today.

After spending several hours trying to set up my wireless John unplugged his modem, replugged it and voila --no more trouble! And it's nice and quick.

That's it!

Re: glad to hear...

Thanks. Yes indeed. Slightly tipsy from a lovely round of drinks and then a Moroccan restaurant where I shared a bottle of wine (not to mention, scrumptious food) with a friend.

excellent!

Also glad to hear the rumours of "no good food to be had in England" are greatly exaggerated.

Re: excellent!

No true at all! I heard that for years..and then discovered "roasts!" my favorite food-roast meat, yorkshire pudding, etc. Seriously though, you can't go wrong with ethnic food here. Good sushi too.

& (so I hear)

the best curries & vindaloos north of India.

Personally, I like sausages, roasts, shepards pie, yorkshire pudding, etc. I might have a problem w/ kidneys & I don't like fishy-fish much @ all. Sadly, I would also be missing out on perhaps the finest anglo-taste experience: I don't like beer.

Whisky, on the other hand....
