Hey, Pat Cadigan! She's the one who suggested Match it for Pratchett when people heard about Terry's Alzheimer's, I think. She seems cool (although I've never met her personally).

In other things, slightly random question - I may be coming to NYC for ComicCon on Feb. 5-6ish. Any chance that you might be around and in the mood for a cup of coffee or something around then? If so, I'd be glad to treat you while I'm in the city. :)

Yup, that's her all right. She is cool and a terrific writer to boot!

If I make it to NY, I will be attending ComicCon on the 6th, but I know the panels don't start until 11 or something, so maybe we could do breakfast if you felt up to it! Or dinner if you were too tired in the morning. That'd be fun. :)

OK, so I'm definitely going to be in NYC Friday the 6th for ComicCon! It's at the Javitz Center, and my friend I'm staying with lives (if he's still in the same apt.) somewhere near Fordham U. I'm glad to travel up/down/across town if needed if you can do breakfast - where in relation to these places might you be? I just have to get to the Javitz Center by about 10, I think...

It'll be nice to see you if you can make it! :)

P.S. Guess what my friend just gave me for Very Late Christmas? The Year's Best Fantasy and Horror! She knew I was eyeing it in December. Hooray!

I believe Fordham is on the upper west side but not sure. I'll give you directions by email.
It'll kill me but I suppose I could roll out of bed at around 8am to have breakfast at 8:30--and there should be someplace open that early near me ;-)
