Happy Turkey day!!!

It's one of my favorite holidays because I (perhaps in the minority among friends with more sophisticated palates) LOVE turkey and all the trimmings. Although my favorite stuffing using chestnuts, sausage and stuff like that rather than a lot of bread-like substances. I'm going over to my friend Claire's (great cook) for the big meal. She's teaching her niece to roast a turkey. Someone else is bringing dessert and I'm bringing wine and cheese.

Things I'm thankful for:

the whole family

Dinah
and

Bella

friends who I love
work that I love
Good health which I cherish
The opportunities to travel all over the world
An apartment rental that is cozy and homey and relatively reasonably priced in an expensive city
New York which I love

On the whole a very good life.

Oh, I did that this year. Not tandoori, but squeezable juice from white meat. I microwaved a turkey breast and it turned out very flavorful and moist. But Spirit wouldn't eat any (or of the drumsticks I microwaved last night) and the vet says she needs more protein, so I think next year I'll go back to the Marie Callender turkey dinner. If Spirit won't eat cold cuts, I'll get a script for high-protein cat food.
