Happy Turkey day!!!

It's one of my favorite holidays because I (perhaps in the minority among friends with more sophisticated palates) LOVE turkey and all the trimmings. Although my favorite stuffing using chestnuts, sausage and stuff like that rather than a lot of bread-like substances. I'm going over to my friend Claire's (great cook) for the big meal. She's teaching her niece to roast a turkey. Someone else is bringing dessert and I'm bringing wine and cheese.

Things I'm thankful for:

the whole family

Dinah
and

Bella

friends who I love
work that I love
Good health which I cherish
The opportunities to travel all over the world
An apartment rental that is cozy and homey and relatively reasonably priced in an expensive city
New York which I love

On the whole a very good life.

Yum! I found an incredible cheese shop in Washington. The kids hated it because of the high smell, but I was in heaven. They had little signs on all the cheeses, with a picture of a cow, sheep or goat so you'd know the source...

Best kind of shop. Did you get to Murray's here in NYC? It's very good (I don't recall if I took you there).

No, didn't see that one. There are too many good food experiences to be had!
