Happy Turkey day!!!

It's one of my favorite holidays because I (perhaps in the minority among friends with more sophisticated palates) LOVE turkey and all the trimmings. Although my favorite stuffing using chestnuts, sausage and stuff like that rather than a lot of bread-like substances. I'm going over to my friend Claire's (great cook) for the big meal. She's teaching her niece to roast a turkey. Someone else is bringing dessert and I'm bringing wine and cheese.

work that I love
Good health which I cherish
The opportunities to travel all over the world
An apartment rental that is cozy and homey and relatively reasonably priced in an expensive city
New York which I love

On the whole a very good life.

That's good to know, because you're automatically invited to my next birthday party. Nothing says "an end to Texas summer" like fresh-smoked tandoori turkey out on the lawn after dark.
