Well, actually, to the World Fantasy Convention, although there is a racetrack in Saratoga. Or... you could consider the International Horror Guild Award and the World Fantasy Award, both to be given out this weekend, races...

In any case, I'll be online only to get email but will be back Monday afternoon.

You know, unless things have changed drastically, you could still catch harness racing until next week. (The main Saratoga racing season is only in summer, but the harness racing goes pretty much until the snow's too high for the horses to move.) That is, if you have any interest in watching horses other than to watch horses. Me, I was too busy climbing underneath thoroughbreds to show off the splints and informing the other guttersnipes that those were the remnants of the other two toes horses used to have. How I managed not to get stomped by an angry horse is still a surprise to me.
