Great cover! Do we get to order an addition that is actually leather bound with the little brass trim pieces on the corners? *g*

I'm very happy with it. And the publisher actually gave me a choice of which photo of Lovecraft to go with: the usual one or this, which is him a bit younger, and a little less often used.

excellent choice.

What, no Jeff Ford or Lucius Shepard?! It's not a Datlow anthology without at least one of those two!

All right, I'll buy it anyway. ;)

Gorgeous cover and great TOC. And I agree with those who hope this comes out in a Subterranean edition, complete with metal corners. This is what someone wrote to me about a current s.e. of theirs: "I've never really been a collector of books in the sense of hungering after the plushest editions and limited editions etc, but seeing this book, I can see the attraction. I can't stress how beautiful the book is ... In an age where quality counts for very little, I'm astonished at the quality...I wish you could see it. The paper is like a dream substance, of a thickness and texture that almost seems edible." Of course, if anyone puts out a special edition LOVECRAFT UNBOUND, the paper should give unspeakable dreams to anyone who eats it.

I suppose I could ask Bill if he's interested. I'd have to leave out the Chabon story though as I only have rights for the Dark Horse edition.
