Susan Boyle sings Cry Me a River

One of my favorite songs, and she sings it gorgeously. It gives me shivers. Recorded ten years ago for a charity album. Cry Me a River

What pleases me most is that some of the audience who laughed at her appearance when she first walked out onto that stage, later had the guts to admit their bad behavior. Oh well, as our mothers always said, "Never judge a sausage by its overcoat."

It's ten years ago which explains some of it. But the voice and style are much different than in her rendition of "I Had A Dream". She takes on an entirely different persona when she sings each song. She reminds me of Little Voice in the play of that name.

I saw the movie made of Little Voice. Boyle's changes don't seem as extreme.

I read this article today and it brought tears to my eyes:
They called me Susie Simple', but singing superstar Susan Boyle is the one laughing now (http://tinyurl.com/dz9hlv)

I hope that in the long run this attention makes her happy -although she must be lonely (there's no mention of her having any friends but her late mother) she seems centered and content in her life up till now.
