but it would get Very Large, and insist on sprawling on the kitchen table, and jumping on top of bookcases....

Oh I know. Not to mention using my back as a springboard, which might be a little painful.

And my kitties would be so jealous anyway-until it ate them up :-)

Besides, I already have a wonderful cat who loves for me to rub her tummy.

Hubby made first official noises last night about the possibility of getting a new cat. He'd like to wait for next Spring. I tried not to cheer & just calmly said "Whenever you're ready, Love."

I've been remarkably good considering how desperately I miss having a cat. He does too, it's just that he's convinced we could never find a kitty as good as Mira. Which might be true, but it will have different qualities & bring us different joys.

We are currently catless...

& I am very much hoping he'll be open to adopting a pair, though he seems to be unusually concerned about midnight kitty races & exponentially increased naughtiness & barf. Me, I'm more worried about litter box issues, but we'll work it all out.

"Baby leopard SPOTTED in house...." Huh. Apparently the BBC has been infected by the American media's preoccupation with bad puns.

I'm embarrassed to say I didn't even notice I was too carried away by the pix!
