I'm going to space and so can YOU!!!!

Just sign up for your name to be included on the list to be launched in 2009 with the Kepler spacecraft into orbit around the Sun. It's the closest I'm ever going to get (or particularly want to get) to going into space and I've got a certificate saying I'm goooooooing...

"into orbit around the Sun"

You like to live life on the edge!

Only my name--I'm happy with it going all over the place :-)

Reminds me of the movie, Gladys Glover, with Judy Holiday and William Holden. :)

Do you mean Born Yesterday with the giant billboard?

You get as certificate, which you print out!!!!

Was "Born Yesterday" the one with the giant billboard? Now I can't remember. But the movie did have a giant billboard, and Holiday's character-name was Gladys Glover. She had her name plastered everywhere, and ended up becoming a huge celebrity. It was a funny movie.

Judy Holiday was cute.

Oh, god, but I'm feeling my age...

Nope. Just checked. That billboard is in It Should Happen to You.

And it was with Peter Lawford, not William Holden. Holden was in "Born Yesterday". "It Should Happen To You" was a better film, in my opinion.

I put my name on the STARDUST spacecraft several years ago. They convert it into binary and place it on a chip or space-hardened DVD. Unless aliens own a Sanyo DVD player or have a really spiffy Mac, it's ultimately just bits and bytes. Though, being the geek I am, I still think that's cool.

If you slingshot around the sun, I understand that you can go back into time.

Just thought you'd want to keep that in mind :)
