Troll's Eye View is officially published today!!!!

Yayy. I've been so busy that I almost forgot.
This is Terri and my middle grade (8-12 year olds) anthology of retold fairy tales empathizing with the villains. Although it's aimed at younger folk, some of the stories should most definitely appeal to adults:

TOC
Wizard’s Apprentice Delia Sherman
An Unwelcome Guest Garth Nix
Faery Tales Wendy Froud
Rags and Riches Nina Kiriki Hoffman
Up the Down Beanstalk Peter S. Beagle
The Shoes That Were Danced to Pieces Ellen Kushner
Puss in Boots, the Sequel Joseph Stanton
The Boy Who Cried Wolf Holly Black
Troll Jane Yolen
Castle Othello Nancy Farmer
Skin Michael Cadnum
A Delicate Architecture Catherynne M. Valente
Molly Midori Snyder
Observing the Formalities Neil Gaiman
The Cinderella Game Kelly Link

Update--I forgot to post the cover so here it is!

I heard Garth read An Unwelcome Guest at World Fantasy and loved it but I didn't hear the name of the anthology he said it was going to be in LOL Now that I know I am totally ordering this :)

*reads the rest of the TOC before hitting post* ZOMG that is a freaking amazing lineup!

Glad you like the sound of it--I of course, hope you like the stories even more :-)

How could I not? Neil Gaiman and Peter S. Beagle are my all time favorite writers, and Garth Nix is pretty high up that list too. I've ordered the book and I intend to wrestle with my daughter if I need to in order to be the first one in the house to read it :)

Totally unrelated but are you going to World Horror this year?

No I won't be. I will be attending the Stoker weekend in Burbank though.

LoL yeah, that seems to be a recurring theme. Alas, I will be at WHC but not Burbank (Winnipeg is much closer to me than Burbank is).
