Small world: My sister lives in Tehachapi, and I was just at that ostrich ranch in August (last stop after WorldCon and the "Writers Of The Future" experience.) There was a skunk loose in the antique store, so we stayed out.

Last year when I was in Tehachapi for a week the only place I could find with Internet access was a small independent burger joint. Luckily they have access at the house now.

And while talking of the wild west, thanks for the "Deadwood" suggestion. Kathe Koja recommended it as well, so I decided to NetFlix the DVDs. Good stuff.
